J. Scott McWhirter

Program Minister | Director

J. Scott McWhirter, son of Jim and Lisa McWhirter, founders of Eagle Christian Ministries, Inc., is a native Oklahoman from Choctaw and is a licensed minister in the state of Oklahoma. Starting out as a teacher with Eagle Christian Ministries, Inc. he has been slowly promoted from teacher to Staff Assistant to Scheduling Supervisor to Associate Director and now serves as the Eagle Christian Ministries, Inc. Program Minister/Director. Scott obtained a degree in psychology while studying at both Rose State College and Oklahoma Christian University. Now recovered from a number of addictions, Scott accredits his successes in life to our dear Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ. Scott and his wife Allyson are both actively involved with our ministries. Individually, they were both very active in the church before becoming married and now, after marriage, even more so. Always striving to be a great example to the men and women of the Eagle Christian Ministries family, Scott reminds us of the scripture found in Job 32:8, “It is the spirit in a man, the breath of the almighty that gives him understanding.” Teaching us that when we don’t understand, God will provide us with the knowledge we need.

Jim Beaty

Facilities Director

Now here’s the story of an extremely blessed individual.  One filled with much love, much happiness, and many friends. But unfortunately there were also some very lonely and extremely sad times in Jim Beaty’s life.  Raised on a farm outside of Yukon, Oklahoma and now the young age of 66, Jim Beaty can remember many happy times early in life.  He was blessed by God with athletic abilities to the point of even receiving a full scholarship to play college football at the University of Oklahoma.  Jim says that as a married freshman in college his life was full of stress.  His multiple addictions started at the University of Oklahoma and it was these addictions  that would eventually take him from the level of prized football player to homeless and living on the streets.  But thanks to a loving family, numerous friends, a great Christian background and a very loving and patient God, he was finally delivered from those addictions.  Now as he begins a new chapter in his life, God is allowing him to reach a younger generation and perhaps keep them from the senselessness that he went through for 40 years. It is at this new stage in life that  Jim has found a new compassion for serving instead of always taking.  Jim would like to thank Eagle Christian Ministries, Inc. for being obedient to God’s word and allowing him to be a part of this wonderful brotherhood.
